Are humans evolving for the better or worse? ?
From what I know of evolution and mutation is that it gives takes on attributes that makes its host more suited to its environment or something like that. It makes the host stronger in other words.
So since we pretty much have things easy and will have things easy for as long as we have technology what do you think our descendants will be like?
Will they be weak and frail things since they no longer have to exert effort to get things done like our ancestors did? I mean for food we have farms our ancestors had to hunt down the animal. For shelter our ancestors had to lift things with our bare hands and haul them while we just use cranes.

you also have to remember the earth has just gone fron the industrial age into the information age and anytime ages change, the world is basicly turned upside down.
how will it all work out? i dunno. i think man/woman is kind of smarter though. i think we are doing ok with what we got left to work with. just my op. cheers! jim
catcu is right, the move into cities and producing paper money rather than food is very dangerous. Nature will force people to grow what they want locally and keep a low population. It is an offer by nature you cannot refuse.
During the Great Depression, most people made it because they lived on family farms.
Today there are almost no family farms left, hence, the majority of Americans would die during a depression with no access to farm products. You can eat your money I guess!
Our ancestors, if they live, will be living in a 3rd world unless things change drastically. The US isn't even owned by the US anymore!
PS.
My family still runs a rather large farm in Idaho, milking over 1,00 head. Though I do not like Conservative Idaho, I would move back in a heartbeat if I had to survive!
