» Please tell me the most effective diet, and which is easy to keep....?

Can you help me with a new diet, I have tried a few but they were not very useful. Please let me know... thanksThe things you need to look at when choosing a diet are mainly that you are getting enough to eat (it is not a starvation diet), the food portions are reasonable and you aren't eating the same things over and over again (variety). Once those things are in place, then the plan is good. Diets that cut out things (like carbs) are really bad for you in the long run. The diet you choose should be more of a life style change, not a temporary "fix".High protein, low carb, very low fat, lots of fruits, veggies and water. Basically a diabetic diet. It's easy to maintain the weight loss once you find foods that you love and cook...... - 2009-07-03

Do any of the sites or their parent company offer affiliate or custom solutions to a corporation for use on its own website with customization for its specific brands to be compared on the criteria of its choice? » Is there a war going on in the stock market?

Have domestic or foreign terrorists taken control of financial vehicles and are crashing them into our financial institutions? Or is it just plain good old American greed? The following paragraph is taken from the article on Forex and Stock market behavior in http://www.onlinesalesplus.com. The article was written a few months before the current events. It kind of answers your question: Anyone who really follows these markets knows that the underlying prices fluctuate, often violently, due to changes, and equally effectively, due to rumors about these changes in various factors. These factors include not only the company and sector-specific conditions, but also economic and geopolitical as well as the general market environment. Thus a...... - 2009-07-03

» Will he survive this brain injury?

Okay I'll make it short. Yesterday morning a friend of mine wrecked an ATV and was in critical condition and was quickly rescued by flight for life. He had swelling in his brain, and this morning he had a stroke. After his surgery from the stroke the pressure in his brain went from 49 to 15 (I don't know how pressure in the brain is measured.) He was injured on the left side of his head and was able to move his right hand. Just tell me the truth about y friends near future and what he may have to go through.Only time will tell. It is too early to determine what will be permanent or if he will develop a secondary infection. The next couple of days will be critical. Say your prayers and be by his side. This is truly a hard one to ans...... - 2009-07-03

» Whats the way to become a relationship guidance counsellor?

I have a small organisation dedicated to the well being of my friends and any or all social connections I deem necessary to help with their relationships. We call ourselves "The Onto" and deal with everything from relationship issues to breakups to matchmaking even guiding a suitable line of revenge to those who feel they have been wronged. It's gotten to the point where I feel I have enough personal & none personal experience for it to become a viable career option. Having discussed this with my partner in the organisation we formulated a plan to hold "speed dating sessions" as a way to put our matchmaking skills to the test. My question is if I was to try and get into this industry or even start my own company, what leve...... - 2009-07-03

» Outline Numbering Frustration

I would like to use muti-level outline numbering with both the built-in heading styles and some user-defined styles. i.e., 1 Heading 1 2 Heading 1 2.1 Heading 2 2.2 User-defined style 2 2.2.1 Heading 3 2.2.2 User-defined style 3 etc.. I defined one pane of the outline numbering styles to link to the heading x styles, and another to link to my user-defined styles. Unfortunately, I end up with the numbering resetti ng every time I change from a Heading style to a User-Defined style. i.e., 1 Heading 1 2 Heading 1 2.1 Heading 2 1.1 User-defined style 2 1.1.1 Heading 3 1.1.1 User-defined style 3 etc.. Any advice ?NEVER create user-defined styles in outline numbering. Open a new document and ...... - 2009-07-03

» Can I make a tee time for only one person?

Do you have to have two people or can you just go by yourself? You'll get paired up with other golfers, which of course will be complete strangers. They will most likely put you with someone, which isn't always bad. You get to meet some new and interesting people. And perhaps find some new partners to golf with.Yes you can but honestly if you have to ask that question then I would just go to the driving range for some much needed practice! We all need practice! If you do play by yourself it is best to go late afternoon! You can finish a round by yourself in about 2 hours or less!Yeah, you can play by yourself but usually you cannot make a tee time for a single. In fact I'm not sure that any course takes tee times for singles be...... - 2009-07-03

i just upgraded from a nvidia 6800le agp and it worked fineMost likely, you've either not effectively uninstalled the Nvidia drivers, or are using old drivers for your Radeon. Check out Guru3d and get Driver Cleaner (it's an easy google search) and make sure you've eliminated those Nvidia drivers and go to ATI's website to get the latest Catalyst Control Center along with the newest drivers for your card (get the full package, includes CCC and drivers), should fix your problem, unless you have a hardware or power supply issue. :)...... - 2009-07-03

» Greetings! A few Questions Please

Hello! We are greatly interested in switching from our phpBB to your vBulletin. I have a few questions however about your forums. 1. We currently have a database of over 900,000 players and many posts throughout our 3 games. Would we be able to transfer all of our users ID's and passwords to vBulletin? 2. Since we have 3 games and hence requires 3 different forums. Would it be 3 seperate membership fees or 1 membership fee? **Our database for our forums are all the same general database for our website. So once you register on our main website (www.netgame.com (http://www.netgame.com)) for any of our games. It automatically registers you for all 3 forums. Would this be a problem? 3. » Upgrading MySQL from 4.1.x to 5.0.x

I've tried upgrading MySQL on my server via cpanel from 4.1.x to 5.0.x. However, the installation failed and now MySQL has bit the dust. After talking with the hosting company, they're response is as follows: Dear Customer, Your installation of MYSQL 5.0.27 does not appear to have been complete, as it does not have records pointing to the areas it should, as well as it missing a few basic configuration files. My recommendation is to backup your files, remove both mysql 4.1.21, and mysql 5.0.27 and re-install mysql 5.0.27 to see if for some reason installing one over the top of the other cause the conflict in file paths I see when I try to start the services. Does anyone have any other suggestions as I'm not even sure how to completel...... - 2009-07-03

» GPS Systems~Do you own one?

Used a christmas gift for the first time when I went down to Louisville Kentucky this past wednesday. I was skeptical of its use until I got to experience it, a buddy of mine told me that the learning curve was very small (I need this cuz I'm dumb) and once you figure it out, you'll love it. His words rang true, the setup through the FM transmitter was perfect. The voice was dangerously accurate with directions and it almost felt surreal in how well it mapped locations. Hitting the "Go Home" button reverses your steps without worry as well. Just curious since this device has been around for awhile if anyone else has been using them consistently. It's a device that I plan to just incorporate into my truck so I don't have to as...... - 2009-07-03

» refishing enamel on a sink

Is there a product available that will allow me to refinish/re-enamel a worn porcelain sink? (it no longer has a glossy surface and therefore always looks dirty) Ideally it would be something that i could spray or brush on, and could find at HomeDepot/Lowes/etc., but i am also willing to hear about products that are more complicated to use or harder to find.Dear D Wee Weee, There are several products that can resurface a porcelain sink. It happens to be the coincidence, that I was at my local DIY/Hardware lately, and got answers on the issue. It will even cover ceramic and porcelain surfaces which means the entire bathroom suite can...... - 2009-07-03

» Do you think bella become a vampire? And what about her powers?

She will be one I reckon. Although it will happen in a way we won't expect. Her powers have to be super extraordinary, and she might have like a special bond with Edward. If Bella doesn't turn into a vampire in Breaking Dawn I will be so frustrated if we have to wait until next year for the next one! It's hard enough having to wait a few months.. let alone a year. I bet that she will turn at the end of the book, and the last sentence will be describing her being bitten or something. Just like the last bit of Eclipse was Edward and Bella's marriage. Haha I just finished the twilight series a couple of days ago and already feel like reading them again! Sadly, a few of my friends are itching to get their hands on it, ...... - 2009-07-03

» Know any online FREE hard flute pieces?

Flight of the bumblebee would be much appreciated. Though any other hard piece would do. The best bargain - close to free - is a CD-ROM called Ultimate Solos. www.cdsheetmusic.com. 2oo solos and their accompaniments, in PDF - no audio. Old-fashioned editions - lots of markings - but a real steal at the price. You will find MANY solos that suit you. Under $20. Most free things are garbage - little-kid or wannabee stuff. There are sites that have legitimate classical music for free, often in MIDI format, and you must run it thru a notation program like Sibelius - which, factoring in the cost of the program, makes this NOT free, right? There are some sites like the Danish library that provides us flutist with all the works of Anderse...... - 2009-07-03

I currently own and run my own part-time web consulting business (www.fyreflystudios.com (http://www.fyreflystudios.com)) and I'm looking for anyone serious about either becoming a partner or contractor to help me take it full time. So far I've been managing both the design and development aspects of the company, but I would like to have the person who comes on take over one of those rolls, preferably the design aspect. If you have any flash or actionscript skills, that would definitely be a plus. I have several ongoing clients at the moment, and with additional help I'm sure that will increase quickly. One of my top priorities will be a branding and website redesign to more accurately reflect the standards-based and small-to-medium size...... - 2009-07-03

Can you provide information about a 20th Century artist (painter) named Valencin Volkav or Valentin Volkav, who was from Belerus?Dear Steve, There is a lot of information on the second artist you've mentioned, but I have found no sources on the first one, a.k.a Valencin, the Venice painter. Could you tell me please more what (and how) you know about the first artist? Regarding the second one - do you know what styles he paints/painted in? » What is the problem/solution with Bayern Munich?

Guys, let's keep this simple. It does not seem as complex as it really is. The problem is that Bayern is not playing teamwork right now. Too many superstars, and too much expectation from each superstar. The team is not playing TOGETHER enough! That's the problem. The solution is simple. Change the tactics (maybe go as far as changing the coach). That's all. Bayern is now very predictable in Europe, and to lose a game against Lyon in Munich is a BIG problem. Bayern needs to keep it simple and each 'superstar' needs to contribute 100%. If Ballack is having an off-day and not contributing enough, take him out. If Makaay scores one goal and relaxes, take him off. Keep the pressure ON, and you'll see results! Bayern doesn't have to wait to ...... - 2009-07-03

The bank will foreclose and you'll lose any equity you've accumulated. If you do it have the taxes part included in the monthly payments. I very recently purchased a Rebel Ti kit and immediately started seeing posts claiming that the lens (28-90mm) was "mediocre" and "sub par." Why is that? What makes a good lens good? Or great? What will I see in my pictures? Will a good lens make me a great photographer? (Sorry - just had to throw that in for a chuckle.) I'm sure that one of my next purchases will be another lens. I have thoughts that I would like a zoom in the 100-200mm range. I'm never close to anything, it seems, and I like the framing (fill the picture with what I want) control of a zoom. I believe that most of my shots will be of my animals and local wildlife, with the occasional bug, flower, or distant mountain thrown in. Okay, first of all this is my first post here...so hello everyone! I am a working father and husband who has been going back to school for a couple years now to finally earn my degree. I have always had a love for photography but have been more of a camera enthusiast than a photographer until a couple years ago. I am at the point now where I can think of nothing I would rather do if given the opportunity than be a photographer. And while I know it is a portfolio that eventually stands up on it's own and not the training you receive before you make it I have felt that Art/photography school is the best option for me. Should I play christmas music or normal music? What other ideas do you haveWhat I did: just hung out and touched up a little. We had a lot of disposable cameras and snapped away! Have someone take pics of all 5 of you ...next day pics are hysterical. The food I'm not sure about - I think we just had soda. One thing we did which was fun was I made small holly pins for everyone to wear either in their hair or on their dress - it made us special...... - 2009-07-03

» Who will win on Sunday? Arsenal or Chelsea?

you tell meCHELSEA! 2-1 (Lampard, Anelka) hope arsenal winsArsenal will win, despite their obvious inconsistency, their talent is amazing and will to beat teams like Chelsea will give them the cutting edge.Chelsea is going to win because they are mad about there tie in the Champions League game.Chelsea i hope edit:::::::well arsenal won 2-1Chelsea 3 Arsenal 1 Lampard then Bosingwa then Nasri then AnelkaArsenal!!i don't support either team but i think arsenal will win. I mean were advancing and technology constantly finding new ways to make things even easier to do and this does not seem to be something thats gonna go away anytime soon or ever possibly. From what I know of evolution and mutation is that it gives takes on attributes that makes its host more suited to its environment or something like that. It makes the host stronger in other words. So since we pretty much have things easy and will have things easy for as long as we have technology what do you think our descendants will be like? Will they be weak and frail things since they no longer have to exert effort to get things done like our ancestors did? I mean for food we have farms our ancestors had to hunt down the animal. » Which sport was officially created first, American Football or soccer?

I wonder whose lack of creativity caused two of the most popular sports on Earth to have the same name. Doesnâ ™t it make more sense to call the sport played with oneâ ™s feet â œfootballâ ? Please donâ ™t tell me that football is called that because players kick the ball to start a game or to make a field goal. The use of feet is minimal in both cases. The fact that running is done with your feet, and players must run in possession of the ball in order to â œtouch downâ is not enough to call it â œfootballâ over soccer either. Baseball and basketball take running with a ball too, and they have their own names. I personally think that there is no sport that deserves to be called football more than soccer does, because no other sport ...... - 2009-07-03

» a new forum?

Hello, I hope there will be a new forum created for the discussion of established works from past master photographers. When vonnagy opened a thread in the critique forum a while ago on a photo shot by Lee Friedlander, I found it enlightening to see. The work seemed to generate considerable interest among other members as well. The other thing that has been constantly on my mind is the ban imposed on a member called grooski. Under the thread I once opened, he said something that was not entirely polite. As I see it, he was not really personally against anyone, maybe the mediocrity of my photo just left him impatient. He got punished after a burst of "screw you all". I felt sorry for the mess. Now that more than one month has elapsed ...... - 2009-07-03

» Should the Religion & Spirituality Section be divided into further sections?

I remember AskJeeves.com in around 2000 (before they closed it) had a ask question and get answers, similar to Y&A. They divided it into sections - Western religions (Christianity, Catholicism, etc.), Eastern (Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, etc.), other sections, and a section for "others [not listed before]". They didn't have the onslaught of the mocking and pseudo-questions (insults disguised as questions) we have here in Y&A. This allows people to find questions of their own religion more easily, rather than all the pluarity of religions being bunched together in one big stack. And possibly, I'm not asserting this as a fact, the atheists who make fun (not all atheists make fun, the respectful ones won''t be here d...... - 2009-07-03

It was like I knew people from Mars and I wanted to buy food from there. After being there I saw markets of food from there. It seemed to be perfectly nutritious and a taste that i liked. The astrologers (I believe) refer to Mars as conflict. It seemed to me to be peaceful and spiritual. This object had 7 pieces that had to be collected and put together. I never seen what the world would be without 1 and especially 7. 1 was taken away and the world became polluted, like everything was covered in dark gray grime. People talked in a rude and unexpressive way. I saw buildings like churches that were small and thought 'who could fit in there?' . A man pushes a 16 kg lawn mower at a constant speed with a force F = 90 N directed along the handle, which is at an angle of 45 to the horizontal (see below). Calculate: a.the horizontal retarding force on the mower; b.the normal force exerted vertically upward on the mower by the ground; and c.the force the man must exert on the lawn mower to accelerate it from rest to 1.5 ms-1 in 2.5 seconds. Assume the same retarding force.a) retarding force is the same as the horizontal force exerted by the man, that is 90/sqrt(2) N. 64 N b) the weight of the mower (16kg * 9.8 N/kg) plus the vertical force exerted by the man, which is 90/sqrt(2) N. 220 N c) net force is mass*acceleration. acceleration = 1.5/2.5 m/s^2 = .6 m/s^2,...... - 2009-07-03

I was conscious of the problem and that's why I paid so much for Francis Jeffers." Finally, a somewhat rational explanation!this is a tad off topic, but i noticed something related to this during the world cup. sure, they advanced out of the 'group of death' and only went down to the eventual and five-time champions, but the english team just lacked any real sense of identity. maybe that's related to development, which leads to that U-20 score that wenger referenced. the premiereship notwithstanding, there's just nothing really special about the english game ...... - 2009-07-03
